The
20 day course of instruction in Pre
Employment Floorman (Roughneck) Training
will consist of drilling programs, hands-on
rig training and industry safety programs.
Life skills and job readiness will also
be included during the program.
B) 12-Month
MDS Advanced Drilling Technology Program
(Levels I, ll, lll & lV)(Click here)
The following course is designed to
advance a student forward with an
in-depth knowledge of drilling practices
within the upstream drilling industry.
Although primarily designed for industry
personnel or college students studying
petroleum technology, past students
of MDS who have successfully completed
the Pre- Employment Floorman (Roughneck)
Training Program also referred to
as Drilling Technology (Level l) will
be considered.
For levels II, III, & IV the student
receives a text book containing assigned
reading and sets of objective questions
to be answered and mailed in for grading.
Questions will be corrected and sent
back to the student with the passing
grade. Upon completion of the final
three levels, students are required
to write a final exam based on the
information of study.
